FRUITLAND, MD – Finnegan, Cowboy, Guinness, Phoebe, Sunflower and Storm all need homes.

Save a life, warm your heart and make a donation during Rommel’s ACE in Stevensville’s dog and cat adoption and charity event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 6.

During the fundraiser, the Animal Resource Foundation (ARF) and Pet Adoption Center of Chester will sell baked goods and hot dogs with all proceeds going to the local ARF.

The organization will bring pets available for adoption and have information on dog training classes, volunteering, sponsorships, spaying and neutering, becoming a foster family and how to adopt man’s and woman’s best friend.

Rommel’s ACE also will have a sidewalk sale during the benefit offering fantastic savings on seasonal and closeout items.

“What is really neat about ARF is they don’t put any animals down, they keep them and find homes for them,” says Kellie Barker, General Manager of the Stevensville Rommel’s ACE.

Animal Resource Foundation, Inc. (ARF) is a non-profit corporation dedicated to saving and improving the lives of animals throughout the mid-Atlantic region by rescuing from animal shelters.

They believe no animal deserves to be abandoned, neglected, abused or arbitrarily killed.

Through the creation of public awareness opportunities, outreach programs, providing a nurturing environment for rehabilitation and a spay/neuter program, ARF is able to make adoption a practical alternative.

Most animals come to ARF from shelters and are chosen if they are on the list to be euthanized due to space, medical attention, or minor behavior problems, such as shyness, etc. These animals are then placed in a foster home to be rehabilitated. Once ARF feels the pets are ready to go to a new home they make them available for adoption.
